"Famous Conspiracies"
TGS IBDP Fortnightly Assembly | Yellow House Presentation In a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant assembly, the Yellow House took centre stage, using drama and poetry to explore the mysteries that continue to stir public imagination. The first skit presented a gripping courtroom drama on the controversial death of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, inviting the audience to reflect on themes of genius, jealousy, and historical ambiguity. The second skit revolved around the untimely death of Marilyn Monroe, shedding light on the enduring stigma surrounding mental health, a concern as pressing today as it was in her time. The two recitations that framed the performances called us to look—and listen—beyond the surface, reminding us of the quiet complexities that often go unnoticed. Through their performances, our Yellow House students exemplified the power of the arts to question, express, and inspire. They didn’t just perform—they sparked conversations. |

From Revolution to Modern Day: A Skit on America’s Evolving Story
TGS IBDP Fortnightly Assembly | Green House Presentation The 4th of July Assembly at The Galaxy School was a powerful representation of collective effort, creativity, and commitment. Despite the limited time, the synergy among the students led to a successful and engaging showcase. The assembly opened with insightful poems reflecting democracy, followed by a dynamic skit tracing America’s journey — from the fervour of its 1770s revolution to the complexities of its present-day politics. Characters like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Vladimir Putin, and JD Vance were portrayed with satire and depth, sparking thought and conversation. The process itself became a valuable learning experience. Students demonstrated key IB Learner Profile attributes — communicators who conveyed powerful messages, risk-takers who embraced satire and spontaneity, principled team members who committed to early rehearsals, and reflective learners who realised the power of dedication even under time constraints. |

"Life has its own plans"
TGS IBDP Fortnightly Assembly | Blue House Presentation On July 18, 2025, Blue House took centre stage at The Galaxy School with a powerful and introspective assembly performance on growth, self-discovery, and the evolving nature of career paths. Opening with two evocative poems—one an original composition and the other a timeless piece by Shakespeare—the tone was set for a journey of reflection and expression. The highlight was a skit beautifully conveying the message: “Life has its own plans.” Students portrayed characters whose career aspirations shifted over time, reminding us all that it’s okay not to have everything figured out. Through this experience, our students enhanced their communication, social, and reflective ATL skills and embodied the IB Learner Profile—becoming risk-takers, open-minded thinkers, and confident communicators. We are proud of Blue House for creating a space where vulnerability met creativity and encouraging our school community to embrace uncertainty with courage and grace. |

"The Storming of the Bastille"
TGS IBDP Fortnightly Assembly | Red House Presentation The Red House assembly was a wonderful testament to the power of collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. From the beginning, our students demonstrated exceptional self-management, organising themselves and beginning preparations well in advance. A lively discussion emerged around the theme, with thoughtful arguments presented for Paper Bag Day, Kargil Vijay Diwas, and The Storming of the Bastille. This respectful debate became a platform for honing communication and social skills, as students listened, reflected, and evaluated each idea's feasibility. By applying critical thinking and considering timelines and logistics, the team narrowed down to The Storming of the Bastille — a consensus decision showcasing growing interpersonal understanding and a shared sense of ownership. Once the idea was set, roles were delegated swiftly and practices began seamlessly — a reflection of both experience and adaptability. The students brought in their own voices by selecting poems for the recitation. They added a heartfelt touch with a tribute to Guru Purnima, weaving in cultural relevance and emotional depth. This assembly wasn’t just a performance but a celebration of the IB learner profile in action. We are proud of our students for embodying the spirit of the IB through planning, reflection, and meaningful expression. |
